She has served as a youth delegate to Annual Conference, an Equalization member, and was elected to the Jurisdictional Conference delegation one time. Meg is also close with her parents, siblings, niece and nephew.īeing a United Methodist and participating in the procedures of being a Methodist have always been important to Meg. She has a blended family that includes her better half, step-children, foster children, bonus kids, and has plans to expand her family in the future.
Meg considers herself to be a servant to all that she is called to be in community with, especially children and youth. Meg has also worked for the Department of Child Services and taught 8th Grade Science. She has served as Senior Pastor, Student Pastoral Intern, and Associate Pastor in several local United Methodist Churches. Meg has served in a variety of roles inside and outside the church. Meg has completed over half of her Master’s of Divinity and has also earned Transition to Teaching accreditation in secondary sciences. She graduated from Whitko High School and went on to Indiana Wesleyan University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Philosophy with additional merits in Biblical Literature and Theology. Meg was born in Jasper, Indiana but grew up in rural Kosciusko County. He has been married to Angela for over 22 years (she’s the fun one, he’s the serious one…as most anyone will attest) and they have two children Sophia (2002) and Ezekiel (2009).Ĭhris’ sports loyalties (which, let’s face it, is what you really wanted to know) lay with the Colts, Lakers, Dodgers, and Notre Dame (a nice blend of California and Indiana, don’t you think?) Chris attended Hope International University in Fullerton, CA where he double-majored in preaching and youth ministry, and later pursued a Masters degree in Christian Spiritual Formation and Leadership at Friends University in Wichita, KS.Ĭhris enjoys reading, being outside, most forms of exercise and fitness, asking questions, and generally challenging the status quo. He and his wife Candace have been married for 14 years and have two boys, Zechariah (Zeke) (2015) and Luke (2019). As the Pastor of Mission and Discipleship at Meridian Street, his primary focus was on local and global mission projects, planning and teaching studies, and reaching out to the neighborhoods near the church He has been in ministry since 2007, serving as Senior Pastor in Winamac, Indiana Pastor of Mission and Discipleship at Meridian Street UMC in Indianapolis and most recently as Senior Pastor at First UMC in downtown South Bend. In 2018, Pastor Matt also completed a certificate program in spiritual direction with the Sisters of Saint Benedict. He received his Master of Divinity at Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 2010. It is also where he experienced his call to ministry through involvement in Campus Ministry. He is a graduate of the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN, with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
